About Me
I've known I wanted to work with children in some capacity since I was a teenager. After discovering child life in college, I knew it was the field I was meant to work in. Over the past few years, I've gained invaluable hands-on experience through working as a babysitter, camp counselor, behavioral health technician, and practicum student, as well as volunteering in a children's hospital, hospice center, and family retreat for children with special healthcare needs. I received a B.A. from Eckerd College, double majoring in Human Development and Psychology. I received an M.S. from the University of Pittsburgh in the Applied Developmental Psychology M.S. program, specializing in both the Child Life and Infant Mental Health tracks. I pride myself on holding passion and empathy at the forefront in my personal, professional, and academic practices. I look forward to implementing all the experience and knowledge I have gained over the years into my practice as a future child life specialist.
